Name: Frank Castle Door: door pass, submissive. Canon: Marvel Cinematic Universe Canon Point: The Punisher, end of episode 6 Age: 35 Appearance: link History: link Personality: H O N O R A B L E β As a former member of the Marine Corps, Frank has been known to be quite the man of honor, always upholding a standard of loyal code. Even when conflicted with a mission ordered by his superiors, he stands to fight for the protection of his country and for his teammates, rushing into a lone fight against a multitude of enemy soldiers that greatly outnumber him, in order to do right for what he stands for. When he makes a promise, he upholds it, always putting a great weight on his word and on those of others. H O N E S T β Frank is hardly ever known to tell a lie. In hand with this is his bluntness, with a tendency to frankly say what is on his mind, whether positive or negative. Even when forced to take on the fake identity of "Pete Castiglione", everything he shares about his past and his circumstances comes from truth, from the loss of his family and his struggle to find purpose beyond drowning in the loss. He never aims to manipulate with lies, never hesitates to admit his wrongful doing, instead letting his anger and despair be openly displayed on his sleeve. P O L I T E β Though openly known to be a killer, Frank can often be surprisingly well-mannered and courteous. When met with strangers, he will address them in respectful terms such as "ma'am" or "sir", a possible characteristic picked up from his time in his military where he'd learned discipline. His demeanor is what he considered to be "old-fashioned", showing a more chivalrous nature to women and getting along well with children. It is only when met with malicious conflict that the polite manner breaks and Frank will not hesitate to treat others as they treat them. V I N D I C T I V E β What most classifies Frank in his widely spread image to the world is his vindictive nature. With the death of his family, Frank vows revenge against those that were involved in the massacre, arming himself with a wide collection of weapons to wipe out every member of the gangs that he believed were responsible, sparring none. Even when asked by a desperate member what killing him would change, Frank responds "nothing", aware that he isn't going to be met with any sense of peace, but instead abiding by his code of treating those as they deserve to be treated, punishing those he believes deserve it. S T U B B O R N β In his relationships with others, Frank is always shown to be quite stubborn. Whether it is Daredevil attempting to convince him not to kill, Karen wanting him to find some sense of peace with himself, Micro trying to convince him to trust the good intentions of his mission, Frank tends to instinctively follow his gut and initial responses. Already having a set idea of what he believes is the right thing to do or the truth, it becomes difficult to sway him from his solid stance. Even when warned by Micro about whether to trust Billy Russo, Frank remains firm on his confidence over Billy's loyalty, always relying on his own experiences. M E L A N C H O L I C β In the pit of all his displayed anger, Frank mostly remains in an elongated state of grief. He remains haunted by the deaths of his family, met with the repetition of it in his dreams, along with the weight of his guilt that they were only dead because of circumstances he had found himself in by taking part in a group of assassins issued by a secret group within the government. Knowing he can't rightfully atone, he deals with his sorrow by simply trying to eliminate those who wronged him, and even when there is no one left to kill, Frank admits to his fears of trying to find life beyond his missions, knowing nothing but the somber pattern of remembering a happiness he doesn't expect to find again. Powers and Abilities: Frank is a former lieutenant of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he was trained in high-level hand-to-hand combat and the use of lethal military arms. He has an advanced knowledge of the capabilities and uses of firearms, known to rarely miss his targets when he intentionally aims β "one shot, one kill", as he describes it.
