( It’s a flimsy barrier given the abilities the kids in the house have, but it’s something. She’s not sure what else Frank could suggest that’d be reasonable - a giant safe for booze? That’d be ridiculous. No, lock and key is the way to go, if only to represent a boundary. )

Why am I the only person I know who was a desperate people pleaser? I was such a cooperative teenager. I didn't get grounded once.

What worked for you and didn't just make you get surly and ignore them? Or did you do that anyway?

what if they just keep doing it anyway? I mean, Brianna's right. I'm ten years older than her. She doesn't have to keep living with us, and I feel like if she decides to leave it'd probably be to teach me a lesson. And it might work.
